Sharon Harper, age 71 of Sibley, Iowa, died Tuesday, February 17, 2026, suddenly at her home in Sibley.
A Private family service will be at a later date.
Sharon Kay Harper was born April 1, 1954, to Harold and Margaret (Poppinga) Harper in Onawa, Iowa. She attended School in Leon, Iowa, until 1969, when her family moved to Sibley, Iowa, where she graduated from High School.
Over the years, Sharon enjoyed working at a daycare, taking care of numerous little ones. She later worked as a ward clerk in Des Moines, Iowa.
Family was everything to Sharon. Her nieces and nephews were so special to her that she loved them all deeply. Her great nieces and nephews could always bring a smile to her face. Everlee and Halle Drew made a special trip to see Sharon in the summer of 2025. She was so proud of Cassie, Shelby, and Blake and loved to hear about everything that they were involved with. Her newest great-niece, Heather Jamaica, was 10 days old when Sharon passed away.
She is survived by four brothers: Bruce Harper of Sibley, Larry and Carol Harper of Sibley, Mike and Pam Harper of Sanborn, Iowa; Greg and Patty Harper of Montgomery, Texas; nephews and niece: Jaymie and Kelly Harper, Drew and Becca Harper, Alex and Dajah Harper, Shawn Harper, Maggie and Kevin Harper-Fertal and a special friend, Denise Myers of Des Moines.
Sharon was preceded by her parents, Harold and Margaret, and a sister-in-law, Cindy Harper.
