Phillip Guinn

Phillip Edgar Guinn, age 74, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at Country View Manor in Sibley, IA.

A Celebration-of-Life Memorial will take place Saturday, November 9th from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at his brother Matt Guinn’s residence in Graettinger, IA.

Phillip “Tubby” Guinn was born on September 24, 1950 to Cyrus and Edna (Weir) Guinn in Graettinger, IA. He received his education and graduated from Graettinger High School in 1968.

Phillip lived in Southwest Iowa, Town of Coin and was employed by Mather & Sons and worked as a heavy equipment operator for over 25 years.

He is survived by his two children, Nicholas Guinn of Parker, CO and Angela King of Armstrong, IA; Grandchildren - Trenton Fothergill & Teagon Fothergill; Siblings - Rosie (Bob) Carmichael, Francella Fuller, Cindy Saxton, Janet Harris, Michael (Linda) Guinn, Matthew Guinn, and Vicky (Mark) Gehrt; along with many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Cyrus and Edna; sisters, Francine Kaufman and Roxana “Corky” Schimmel.
