Paul Doorenbos, age 59 of Sibley, Iowa, died Monday, June 8, 2026, at residence near Sibley, Iowa.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 10th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Jurrens Funeral Home of Sibley.

Friends and family may gather at 8:45 a.m. on Thursday, June 11th at the Sheridan Township Cemetery of Boyden, Iowa, for a 9:00 a.m. committal service.

Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, June 11th at the First Reformed Church in Sibley, IA, with Reverend Brian Carpenter officiating.

Paul Doorenbos was born in Rock Rapids, IA, the son of Glenn and Jean (Boerhave) Doorenbos. He lived on the family farm and worked for many years at Sudenga’s in George and farmed with his dad and Merlin. He was also very active member of the First Reformed Church in Sibley. Paul’s dad passed away on December 9, 2024, and his mother Jean passed away on October 29, 1983.

He really enjoyed the Bears football team, playing cards with his friends, and spending time with his family, especially his niece Kelsey. Paul will be remembered as a man who always had a smile on his face and was kind to everyone, even if you were a stranger to him.

Those left to cherish his memory are his brother, Merlin (Karen) Doorenbos; niece, Kelsey; and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Jean; infant brother and sister, Gary and Marily; grandparents, Lawrence and Elsie Doorenbos; and Claus and Marie Boerhave; aunts and uncles: Bev, Ron, Ken, Curt and Donna Boerhave, Maggie, and Waneta Boerhave.
