Myron Svalland, age 89, of Bigelow, Minnesota, passed away Friday, June 26, 2026 at The Shores of Worthington Care Center.

Myron Stanley Svalland was born November 22, 1936, the son of Lars and Esther (Grams) Svalland. He grew up in Butterfield, Minnesota and graduated from Butterfield High School.

After high school Myron enlisted in the United States Army. After his honorable discharge, he started working for Harvester Silos in Worthington, Minnesota.

He enjoyed road trips, having a beer at surrounding establishments, mowing, people watching and fishing. He was an avid Minnesota Twins and Minnesota Vikings fan.

He is survived by his children, Angie (Mitchell) Ackerman of Sibley, IA, and Shane Svalland of Sheldon, IA; grandchildren: Sage, Tara, Tori, Lars, Austin, Dawson, Peter, and Nathan; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Joann Junker of Butterfield, MN; along with extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lars and Esther; son, Chad; brothers, Lloyd and Elwood; and sister, Sonja Junker.
