Mary Rose was born to Leo and Leona (Schrum) Babl of Carroll, Iowa on Oct. 22, 1928, their third child and only daughter. After Chuck's death in 2011, she again moved back to her hometown, until ill health necessitated a move to assisted living in Sioux Falls. She was a resident at the Good Samaritan Center there for the last few years.
