Marge was born on December 28, 1921 to Fin and Nan Horsfall and raised in Little Rock Iowa. Her father Fin died when she was 5 years old and she, her mother and 2 siblings (Robert and Mildred) moved in with her grandparents for the remainder of her childhood.
Marge enrolled in and graduated from cosmetology school in Ft Dodge IA. She then worked at a hair salon in George, Iowa, until the start of World War II, when she moved to Ogden, Utah and Hill Field Air Base where she worked classified and secret documents. It was at Hill Field that she met Charles Uzzo from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
They would marry and continue to work at the airbase in Utah following the war's ending. She gave birth to their first son, Craig Charles in 1949. The couple moved back to Little Rock, where Chuck started a plumbing and heating business. A second son, Brent Francis was born in 1953. Marge started work at the Little Rock Schools and continued there until the 70's when she retired, and they moved their business and family to Sibley in 1964.
Marge was an avid reader and could be found with a book in hand most days. Both her and Chuck enjoyed traveling domestically and overseas, spending several winters in Thailand.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Little Rock and Sibley and was an active member until her passing. She was involved with the Church, VFW and American Legion auxiliary as well as the Democratic party where she worked diligently for many local, state and national candidates. Marge enjoyed singing and loved her time in the church choir. In addition to her boys she loved the time spent with her grandchildren Jaci and Nino and later her great-grandchildren Charlie, Max and Eden Holt. Marge moved to Sibley Specialty Care in 2015 and became an active member of that community until her death at age 98.
