Lucille Bosch, age 89, of Rock Rapids, IA died Thursday, July 30, 2026, at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.

Funeral service will be 1:30 PM, Wednesday, August 5th, at Bethel Reformed Church, near Little Rock, IA, with Pastor Scott Van Ravenswaay officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Bethel Reformed Church, near Little Rock, IA.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Bethel Reformed Church.

Lucille J Bosch was born in Rock Rapids, IA on March 26, 1937, the daughter of John and Grace (Lupkes) Reck. Lucille grew up on a farm East of Rock Rapids. She attended country school Midland #3 until the eighth grade and graduated from Central Lyon High School in 1955. 

On May 27, 1955, Lucille was united in marriage to Arthur Bosch. Shortly after their marriage they moved to Germany for two years for Arthur’s service in the military. Upon their return, they moved back to Rock Rapids to the family farm in the Spring of 1958 where they have resided ever since. Together, they were blessed with ten children.

 Lucille was a member of the Bethel Reformed Church near Ellsworth, MN for her entire life. She was very active in the church serving as a teacher for Sunday school, catechism, and vacation bible school for over 20 years, as well as a member of the women’s circle. She was also a long-time member of the church choir, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Lucille enjoyed gardening and was blessed with a green thumb. She was an avid reader, often averaging four to five books a week. During her prime, she looked forward to her weekly ladies’ bowling league. She devoted her life to raising her ten children. 

Lucille is survived by her beloved husband of seventy-one years, Arthur; ten children, Randy (Cindy) Bosch of Rock Rapids, IA; Pam (Lee) Hansen of Sioux Falls, SD; Gary (Carmie) Bosch of Sioux Falls, SD; Cathy Bosch of Hawley, MN; Susan (Joe) Tokheim of Sheldon, IA; Stan (Sonja) Bosch of Brandon, SD; Curt (Shawnda) Bosch of Sioux Falls, SD; Brian Bosch of Sioux Falls, SD; Lanette (Erik) Gustafson of Ocean Ridge, FL; Lance (Kayla) Bosch of Sioux Falls, SD. She is fortunate to also be survived by 20 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild, sister-in-law, Marilyn Reck of Rock Rapids, IA; brother-in-law, Henry (Dorothy) Bosch of Rock Rapids, IA; sister-in-law Alice (Walt) Kellen of Adrian, MN; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. 

Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, John and Grace Reck; five brothers, Jake, Bill, Ed, Ralph, and Larry; one sister, Tillie Hindt; parents-in-law, Edward and Jennie Bosch; and brother-in-law, Andy Bosch; sister-in-law Dorothy VanBriesen.
