     Loren Guse age 56 of Boyden, Iowa died Sunday, February 18, 2024 at his home in Boyden.

     A memorial service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 24, 2024, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Boyden with Pastor Jeremy Winter, officiating.  Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery in Matlock, Iowa.

     Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  

     Jurrens Funeral Home of George is in charge of the arrangements.

     Loren Lee Guse was born on March 3, 1967, in Ringsted, Iowa, the son of Lyle and Paulette (Christensen) Guse.  He grew up in Ringsted and later graduated from Armstrong-Ringsted High School.  Following his graduation, he attended Northwest Iowa Technical College for 2 years of automotive mechanics and 1 year for special electronics.  He enjoyed farming, raising horses, and doing mechanical work for his friends.

     Loren is survived by his children and grandchildren, Meranda Miller (Guse), and her daughter, Vanessa, of Sheldon, Iowa, Jacob (Natashia) Guse, and their children, Dani, Ali, Gabi, and Hudson of Matlock, Iowa, Elizabeth Guse of Sheldon, Iowa, Rebecca Guse, and her son, Wallace of Rock Rapids, Iowa, and Wyatt Guse of George, Iowa, and his beloved dog, Harvey; his mother, Paulette Guse of Ringsted, Iowa; three siblings, Bruce Guse, Lois Gent, and Kristi Guse; nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

     He was preceded in death by his father, Lyle Guse, and uncle, Roger Christensen.
