Loren Feucht

Loren Feucht, age 67 of Harrisburg, SD passed away on Monday, January 26, 2026, at Ava’s Hospice House in Sioux Falls, SD after a long hard battle with cancer.

Visitation with the family present will be held Sunday, February 1, 2026, from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Jurrens Funeral Home of Rock Rapids.

Memorial services will be held Monday, February 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Central Church, 3102 West Ralph Rogers Rd., Sioux Falls, SD, with Pastor Randy Tweeten, officiating. Burial will take place in the Hillside Cemetery at Lester.

Arrangements are in the care of the Jurrens Funeral Home.

Loren J. Feucht was born May 28, 1958, at Rock Rapids, Iowa the son of Ernst and Martha (Moser) Feucht. Loren grew up in Lester where he attended school and graduated from High School in 1976. As a young man he found work at his father’s feed store and continued that line of work for many years. He was an integral part of Lester Feed and Grain and was actively involved in every aspect of the operations and management of the elevator. He truly enjoyed being involved in this side of agriculture, his knowledge and passion for progress in farming operations allowed him to be a visionary in the industry. Over the years he was the driving force behind the success of Lester Feed and Grain. In his younger years he enjoyed racing and was a car enthusiast, always striving for a clean car. He was a quiet man with a kind and loving demeanor; he was a man of integrity and grit. He always was concerned about others and often would put them first. For several years he was married to Rosemary Ubbinga and to this union a daughter was born, Ashley. He loved his daughter and his grandchildren so much and his care and concern for his family was always evident. Along with his daughter and grandchildren he found enjoyment in his relationship with his special friend, Nancy Hilbrands. As his health deteriorated, he became a resident of Ava’s Hospice House in Sioux Falls, SD where he died this past Monday, January 26, 2026, at the age of sixty-seven.

He was a beloved father and grandfather of his daughter, Ashley Feucht (Mike Timmer) of George, IA; grandchildren, Nevaeh, Kiana, Easton, Mason and Mia of George, IA; his siblings, Dale Feucht of White Bear Lake, MN; Gary (Donna) Feucht of Lakeville, MN; Laura (Paul) Pelkola of Hugo, MN; LeAnn (Tom) Ransom of Harris, IA; Donna Kruger of Sioux Falls, SD; Rosella (Chuck) Venske of Waconia MN and Lyle (Emily) Feucht of Calgary, Alberta Canada; his special friend, Nancy Hilbrands of Sioux Falls, SD and her family Nathan Hilbrands of Brandon, SD; Nicole Hilbrands of Queen Creek, AZ; Nolan (Alisa) Hilbrands of Hull, IA and her 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernst and Martha; sister, Mary Lou Schacht; brother, Lynn Feucht; brother-in-law, Barney Kruger and sister-in-law, Jennifer Feucht.
