Karen Kintop, age 84 of Sibley, Iowa, died Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at Osceola Senior Living in Sibley.
A funeral service will take place at 10:30 AM, Monday, September 29, 2025 at First Presbyterian Church in Sibley with Pastor Steve Swenson, officiating.
A visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Sunday, September 28th at Jurrens Funeral Home in Sibley.
Karen Kay Kintop was born December 25, 1940, in Adrian, Minnesota, the daughter of Marvin and Margaret (Siebring) Kruse. She grew up in Little Rock, Iowa and graduated from Little Rock High School.
Karen made her home in Sibley and was married to Wendell Henrichs for 24 years. They were blessed with five children. Karen and Wendell later divorced.
She moved to Mantorville, Minnesota. She was united in marriage to Paul Kintop at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. They enjoyed 16 years of marriage until his passing in 2006.
In the past, Karen worked at Fleet Farm in Rochester, Telex Inc., Hormel, and Country Buffet Restaurant. She enjoyed all sorts of crafting, from crocheting and knitting to diamond art.
She is survived by her children Coleen (Bill) Schildhauer of Sioux Falls, SD, Diane (Kenny) Lindner of Hartley, IA, Scott Henrichs of Rapid City, SD, Wendy Swarthout of Sibley, IA, and Darice (Nick) Wunderlich of Apple Valley, MN; step children, Kevin Kintop of Lake City, MN, Michael (Vicky) Kintop of Adams, MN; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sisters, Donna (Donald) Markus and Norma (Bob) Vos; brother, Roger Kruse; and many extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Margaret; husband, Paul Kintop; sister, Mavis (Tom) Hoffman; and stepdaughter, Amy Kintop.
