John Van Beest, age 77 of Sibley, Iowa passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at St. Luke's Hospital in Sioux City.

A memorial service will take place 10:30 AM, Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sibley, with Pastor Steve Swenson, officiating.  Military honors will follow the service.

Visitation will be Monday, November 4th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Jurrens Funeral Home in Sibley.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Levitt Guest Center. Without this Center, the family would not have been able to stay by his side the entirety of his hospital stay until his last breath. It allowed the family to take shifts so that John was never alone. We were truly grateful.
