Debra Lynne Van Wyhe was born on July 18, 1960, in Eldora, Iowa, the daughter of Everett and Jeanette (Greydanus) Vande Voort. Deb grew up outside of Beaver Creek, MN, and graduated from Hills-Beaver Creek High School in 1978. She attended nursing school at Pipestone VoTech. On June 15, 1979, she was united in marriage to Stanley Van Wyhe at the Hills Christian Reformed Church in Hills, MN. To this union, they were blessed with two children, Misty and Trey.

Deb had a big, unforgettable presence and made everyone around her feel loved, safe, and welcome. People naturally gravitated toward her warmth, kindness, and caring spirit. She worked as a nurse for 34 years, spending 32 of those years alongside the same doctor. She cared deeply for her patients and coworkers and was admired by younger nurses for her compassion, patience, and strength. Her faith was an important part of her life. As a devoted member of Steen Church, she taught catechism and shared her wisdom and kindness with younger generations. She was funny, full of life, and could make people laugh even during difficult times. She loved cooking and baking as a way to care for others and always made people feel at home. Deb enjoyed camping, fishing, golfing with her husband, and spending time outdoors with family and friends. She also loved softball and was proud to have only struck out once in her life, something she joked about often. Above all, she loved her family deeply. Her children and grandchildren meant everything to her, and she always put others before herself with endless love and support. She shared a strong and beautiful marriage with her husband, who was also her best friend. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and loyalty. Deb will always be remembered for her warmth, humor, compassion, and the love she gave so freely to everyone around her.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Stan Van Wyhe of Steen, MN; daughter, Misty (Dusty) Rallis of Sioux Falls, SD; son, Trey (Jody) Van Wyhe of Colorado Springs, CO; five grandchildren, Brock and Zoe Rallis of Sioux Falls, SD, and Owen, Ella and Theo Van Wyhe of Colorado Springs, CO; her parents, Everett and Jeanette Vande Voort of Beaver Creek, MN; seven siblings, Bruce Vande Voort of Beaver Creek, MN, Barbara Rozeboom (John Hinz) of Holland, MN, John Vande Voort of Maple Valley, WA, Judy (Tony) Schwartz of Cave Springs, AR, Mark (Dawn) Vande Voort of Valley Springs, SD, Joan Vande Voort of Odessa, MO, and Christy (Trent) Yager of Napolean, MO; many nieces, nephews and other extended family.

She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.
