Chad Harms age 42 of Little Rock, Iowa died Friday, March 19, 2021 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Funeral services will be 10:30 AM, Tuesday March 23, 2021 at First Presbyterian Church in Little Rock, Iowa with Pastor Chris Lemmon officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant view Cemetery in Little Rock.
Visitation will be Monday, March 22nd from 3:00 to 8:00 PM with the family present from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church of Little Rock.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the family for the children’s educational fund, or to the River Valley Players.

Chad Wendell Harms was born June 15, 1978 to Wendell and Connie (Odens) Harms at the Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley, Iowa. He grew up on a farm near Little Rock and attended George Little Rock School, graduating in 1997. After high school Chad attended college in Marshall, Minnesota. Chad was blessed with two children, Oliver and Adeline.
In the past Chad worked for Sanford Hospital in Rock Rapids, Prairie Justice Center in Worthington, Grand Falls Casino in Larchwood, and most recently was the director of maintenance for Good Samaritan in Luverne, Minnesota. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Little Rock where he was baptized and confirmed. He was also a clerk and elder. He was a member of the Lyon County Historical Society and enjoyed being a member of River Valley Players. He enjoyed biking, hiking, running and history. He enjoyed attending all of his children’s activities and playing video games with his son Oliver. His family will remember him as quiet, a great friend, humorous, and most of all a great father to his children.
Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Wendell and Connie; children, Oliver Wilke Harms and Adeline Gloria Harms; siblings, Rochelle (Curt) Van Tilburg of Sibley, IA, LaRae (Robert) Elliott of Sioux Falls, SD, Terry (Lisa) Harms of Little Rock, IA, and Natalie Harms of Sioux Falls, SD; 2 nephews; 3 nieces; 2 great nieces; 5 great nephews; special friend, Shayne Mayer of Rock Rapids, IA; his “Safety Meeting Crew”; along with many extended family and friends.
He preceded in death by his grandparents, Wilke and Mattie Harms and Ben and Lois Odens; and uncle Rodney Odens.
