Arthur Gene Bruns

Arthur Gene Bruns, age 83, went home to be with the Lord on March 7, 2026.

He resided for more than 30 years in Charlotte, North Carolina where he was the Plant Manager at Calico Tag & Label, Inc. He was previously a Design Engineer for Litton Industries in Minneapolis, Minnesota for more than 25 years. He served in the United States Airforce during the Vietnam conflict stationed in South Korea and traveled extensively across the world. He was co-valedictorian of his graduation High School class. He was the middle child of 5 children. His kindness and generosity will not be forgotten by those who knew him.

Art is survived by his children and their spouses, Sean (Linda-Mary), Angela (Nik), and Julie (Sam); Lyle (Cindy) and Brenda (Dale); Siblings, Doug (Janet) Bruns, Dorothy Wessels, Lee (Brenda) Bruns, and Ruth Elhami; Grandchildren, Harlan and Hannah; Great grandchildren Reese and Tyler; Many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were parents Ben and Nellie Bruns, brothers-in-law Les Wessels and Fred Elhami.

A private graveside service will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in George, Iowa.
