Anson Phillip, age 75 of Sibley, Iowa, died Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at Sibley Specialty Care.

Location Update:  Visitation will be from 5:00 to 10:00 PM at Jurrens Funeral Home, 505 9th Street in Sibley, Iowa.

Anson Phillip was born March 12, 1950 in Pohnpei, Micronesia, the son of Carles Phillip and Renselina Saimon. He attended Ngatik Elementary, Pohnpei Island Central High School, and went to Palau College.

Anson Phillip was a great father to all his 10 children, and many, many grandchildren. He was a very selfless man, very humble and he would always seek kindness above everything. We want him to be remembered as the best dad ever.

He is survived by his wife, Lihper; children: Meriu Phillip, Sonles Phillip, Scatson Phillip, Elson Phillip, Merwihn Phillip, Este Frank, Merlinda Phillip, Maiko Edwin, Max Frank, Arthur Phillip; 38 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; brother, Joshua Phillip; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Carles and Renselina Phillip; brothers Rooney Phillip and Joe Alanso; sister, Senely Phillip; and son, Arthur Phillip.
