Aaron Arthur Van Bruggen

     Aaron Van Bruggen age 35, of Sheldon, IA passed away Monday, April 29, 2024, at the Happy Siesta Care Center in Remsen, IA.

     Visitation with the family present will be Thursday, May 2, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Tabernacle Baptist Church in George.

     Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 3, 2024, at Tabernacle Baptist Church in George, IA with Pastor Bryan Anderson officiating.  Burial will be in the East Lawn Cemetery at Sheldon, IA.

     Aaron Arthur Van Bruggen was born on May 24, 1988, at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the son of Arthur and Nancy (Stoffel) Van Bruggen.  Soon after birth Art and Nancy realized Aaron was a gift from God.  He gave them many loving and enjoyable memories, and maybe some challenges at times also.  Early in his life he started physical therapy at River Valley to help him develop and grow.  He was cared for greatly at the several agencies over the years.  He was especially cared for by his mother, Nancy, she devoted all of her time to help Aaron thrive.  Despite his disablilities he shared his emotions with everyone around him.  He enjoyed being involved, often giggling and being silly with his siblings.  His spirit taught others how important it is to have a human bond with each other.  Over his lifetime he lived at home with his parents, the Village Northwest Unlimited in Sheldon and recently at Happy Siesta Care Center in Remsen where he passed away this past Monday morning, April 29, 2024, at the age of 35.  Blessed be his memory.

     He is survived by his father, Art Van Bruggen of Sheldon, IA; his siblings, David (Sarita) Van Bruggen of Massillon, OH; and Cindy (Nick) Keson of Alto, MI; Brian (Kerry) Winkel of Waterloo, IA; Jed (Karey) Winkel of Spirit Lake, IA; Nathan (Laura) Winkel of Iowa City, IA; along with his aunts, uncles and cousins.

     Aaron was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Van Bruggen and his grandparents.
